Tombstone is a living community. Some of our residents can trace their family back to Tombstone's beginning. Tourism is the mainstay of the economy. Tombstone's weather is surprisingly mild. Although temperatures do climb into the lower nineties in the summer, evenings are pleasantly cool. Winter, fall, and spring are all exceptionally mild with clear skies, pleasant days and nights that rarely freeze. Visitors can expect sunny days year round.
Weekdays are great.... less crowded. Weekends usually there will be more visitors.
Tombstone is fill with old west history. The length of time depends on your willingness to explore, see, and learn about everything Tombstone, AZ. Many people come for a couple of days, and stay in one of our local lodging (hotels, B&B, cabins, guest ranch).
Tombstone is a dog friendly town. Several of our shop owners put out water dishes for our four legged guests, and a few of our restaurants have patios that are Dog Friendly.

There isn’t a place in Tombstone AZ to rent a mobility scooter. It would be possible though to rent in Sierra Vista, Bisbee or Tucson to use in Tombstone.
Yes – the walk ways are flat and firm. Allen street is blocked off to vehicles and you can use the scooter on the street – going back and forth around Allen Street.
The only place that you may have a challenge is BootHill Graveyard – it is relatively level ground.
Some of the shops do have a small raised entrance threshold. Scooters and wheel chairs have easily navigate these.

Boothill Graveyard is a small graveyard of at least 250 interments located in Tombstone, Cochise County, Arizona. Also known as the "Old City Cemetery", the graveyard was used after 1883 only to bury outlaws and a few others.
Arizona is in the Mountain Standard Time zone. With the exception of the Navajo Nation in the northeast corner of the state, Arizona does not observe Daylight Saving Time.
Arizona law requires that each front seat occupant must have the lap and shoulder belt properly adjusted and fastened while the vehicle is in motion. Children under 5 years of age must be properly secured in a child restraint device that meets federal standards.
Arizona law prohibits anyone younger than age 21 from purchasing or consuming alcoholic beverages. Liquor is not sold between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. Monday-Saturday and between 2 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Sundays. It is against the law to drink in a motor vehicle or from the original container in public places.
