Request for a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony or Business Reception

As a member of the Tombstone Chamber of Commerce, we are proud to celebrate your business with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony or Business Reception. These services are at no cost to Tombstone Chamber of Commerce Members at the Business Level Investment and the Nonprofit / Church Level of Investment who are celebrating a Grand Opening or Milestone Anniversary.  It is unique way for the Tombstone Chamber to help market you and your business.  Questions?  Contact the Chamber office (520) 457-9317 or info@tombstonechamber.com.

 

Two Options Available:

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
This service is offered to NEW Tombstone Chamber Members who are starting their new business or organization.

 Business Reception Service
This service is offered to Tombstone Chamber members whose business or organization is celebrating a 5 year, 10 year, 25 year, 50 year, 100 year business anniversary OR Tombstone Chamber members who just built an addition to their
business or organization, recently expanded or moved to a new location.

*The Tombstone Chamber of Commerce reserves to right not to participate in a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony or Business Reception if a valid reason is not given and does not fit the mission of the Tombstone Chamber of Commerce. We do not offer these services on Sundays. We do not guarantee attendance. These are GREAT EXPOSURE and FREE promotion of your business!

 

Here is what the CHAMBER will do for you for your event:

  • We need, at minimum, a 14-day advance notice of all events.
  • We will email the Chamber Membership email/mailing list an invitation.
  • We will invite local media and Chamber media partners to attend. Many times they will attend and take photos.
  • We will invite the Mayor/City Councilpersons. We do not guarantee attendance.
  • We will create an event on the Chamber Facebook business page.
  • We will take a photograph at the event and E-Mail the photo to you so that you can send the photo to the newspapers of your choice.
  • We will post photos after the cutting on the Chamber on Chamber social media.
  • Please note we cannot guarantee anyone’s attendance at these events or that your photo will run in any of the newspapers that you have submitted it to.

 

 Here is what YOU will need to provide for your Ribbon Cutting Ceremony or Business Reception:

  • Refreshments, Coffee, Sandwiches, Cookies, Cake, and Donuts etc. (Having a reception is recommended, not a requirement)
  • Invite your own customers so they can be a part of the excitement – we encourage you to treat this as an open house.
  • Market your event to your business connections.
  • Invite your family, friends and potential customers.

Terms:

A request for a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony  or Business Reception must be submitted a minimum of 15 days in advance of the proposed event date. Please include your date and time of choice as well as two alternate dates and times.

This time allows the Chamber to schedule staff, coordinate with Chamber Board members and promote your ribbon cutting.

Requested dates are on a first come-first serve basis. Dates will not be held or added to the Chamber calendar until this form is completed in full.

Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies or Business Receptions outside of normal business hours may incur a fee as outlined below. Any applicable fees must be paid no less than 10 business days prior to the date of the event to guarantee services.

The Chamber cannot guarantee attendance at your event. It is suggested that you consider hosting an open house in conjunction with your Ribbon Cutting Ceremony or Business Reception. Invite your clients, neighbors, family, friends and colleagues, promote your event on social media and to other groups you may be a part of.  Facility tours and receptions are recommended for after the ceremony

 

This program is first-come, first-serve. Members will be contacted with the next available date as new applications are received.  Availability may be 4-8 weeks from date of sign up.

We will try to accommodate special requests when we are able.  Please list your preferred date(s) and time for your event – Please list all three date choices.

Ribbon cuttings can be scheduled Thursday - Saturday. Times - between 11:00 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Ribbon cuttings cannot be held on a holiday or on the same day as a scheduled Tombstone Chamber of Commerce event.
