OPEN HOUSE at THE ROCKING “R” RANCH EQUINE ASSISTED LEARNING CENTER The Rocking “R” Ranch in Tombstone would like to invite you to their grand opening event! Come visit, meet the Staff, say “Hello” to the horses and learn about “Equine Assisted Learning. TOMBSTONE WILD WEST DAYS – March 14 – 15, 2015 On Saturday March 14th, and Sunday March 15th the Wild West Detachment, Marine Corps League are proud to present the 6th Annual Tombstone Wild West Days – A salute to the Brave Men and Women of the Armed Forces. Saturday will feature Street Entertainment from 10am – 4pm on Allen Street, USO Canteen Dance from 6pm – 9pm at Big Nose Kate’s Saloon. Silent Auction during the evening. Sunday features a Salute to the Troops & St. Patrick’s Day Parade at 11am. If you would like to submit an entry into the Parade, there is no Entry Fee. Signup will be on 6th and Allen Streets Starting at 9:30am the day of the parade. The ‘Wearing of Green’ is encouraged! THE CHAMBER’S WEBSITE RECEIVES APPROXIMATELY 30-35,000 VISITORS MONTHLY. Visitors are looking at events, business listings, and the history of Tombstone.
PLANNING A SPECIAL EVENT: If you want to plan a special event in Tombstone, The Tombstone Chamber has prepared a Special Event Guide to help you with your special event planning. You can also stop by the Chamber Office to pick up a hardcopy of our event planning packet. The hardcopy packet also includes information that is not posted on the website such as information on insurance companies who provide event insurance.
CHAMBER MEMBER HOT DEALS: What the heck is a HOT DEAL? These are discounts and opportunities made by Chamber Member businesses available to the general public through the Chamber website. WE WILL POST THEM FOR YOU ON THE HOT DEALS PAGE OF CHAMBER WEBSITE! There is a link on the homepage of the Chamber website that will take you to the Hot Deals page.
Do you have a special you want to promote for your business? Information needed to post the HOT DEAL:
- Hot Deal Name (i.e., Sizzlin’ March Pizza Deal – if applicable …your deal doesn’t have to have a name.
- Business Name;
- Point of Contact;
- Phone Number;
- Business Address (not mailing address);
- Start date/time of Special/Promotion;
- End date/time of Special/Promotion;
- Special/Promotion Description;
- And include a digital image (optional).

TOMBSTONE CHAMBER’S FACEBOOK PAGE: The Tombstone Chamber’s Facebook receives 8-10,000 page views monthly. Chamber Members are welcomed and encouraged to post events and business news on the Chamber’s Facebook Page Timeline. Once a month Chamber Members can also receive a direct courtesy post by the Chamber of Commerce – in other words, once a month we will do a post on your behalf. This post will reflect that it is posted by the Chamber on behalf of your business. The power of posting your business info on the Tombstone Chamber Facebook page is that community events, deals, and specials are seen by 8-10,000 visitors monthly. AND posts made by the Chamber that are about Tombstone specials, events, and deals are routinely SHARED by various tourism groups throughout the state. To submit please email your information to: firstname.lastname@example.org – at least SEVEN days prior to the start of the start of your event/special/deal. Information should include all of the same elements as outlined in the Hot Deals.
BOOTHILL GRAVEYARD AND GIFT SHOP FACEBOOK PAGE: The new Facebook page for the Boothill Graveyard has been greeted with an overwhelming positive response. The goal is to share information about Boothill’s permanent residents, about the history of Tombstone and the Boothill Gift shop. In a matter of 4 hours, the page received 200 likes from around the country. In less than two days the first post had received 2,819 post views. THE POWER AND IMPACT OF SOCIAL MEDIA IS HUGE: Social media is what relying on “Word of Mouth” to help get customers and leads was to a business 10+ years ago. People turn to Facebook (or other social media platforms) to get recommendations from a friend on where to eat, where to shop and where to travel. They turn to Facebook to scope out a restaurant, a store or a destination location.
